Bengaluru-based EV maker Simple Energy has entered the mass-market commuter segment with the launch of its Simple Wave electric scooter series, starting at ₹1.10 lakh ex-showroom. The new portfolio features six models across three variants, broadening Simple Energy's lineup beyond its premium Simple One model. The launch aligns with reduced government EV incentives under the revised scheme, which caps subsidies at ₹5,000 per vehicle. Simple Energy aims to capture share in India's $30 billion two-wheeler market, competing directly with affordable, family-focused electric models recently launched by Ola Electric and Ather Energy.
