Chennai-based skincare brand CHOSEN has secured an extension to its Series A funding round from Avnish Chhabria and Saurabh Kapoor, founders of Wellbeing Nutrition. The capital infusion follows the startup’s $5 million Series A round raised in May, led by Fireside Ventures with participation from L’Oréal’s corporate venture fund BOLD and Alkemi Growth Capital. Founded in 2020 by Renita Rajan, CHOSEN formulates skincare and nutraceutical products designed for melanin-rich Indian skin. The fresh capital will be deployed to strengthen research capabilities, expand product formulation pipelines, and establish a specialized Centre of Excellence for dermatological development.
