Japanese tech investor SoftBank has offloaded another 1.2% stake in electric two-wheeler maker Ola Electric through open market transactions between January 6 and October 22. Through its investment vehicle SVF II Ostrich (DE) LLC, SoftBank sold 5.55 crore shares, reducing its total holding to 11.7%. It also sold 1.12 crore rights entitlements ahead of Ola Electric's planned ₹1,000 crore rights issue to repay debt and fund expansion. SoftBank originally backed Ola Electric in July 2019 with a $250 million investment and has been consistently paring down its stake since the startup’s August 2024 initial public offering.
