Soket Labs And ZenteiQ Launch Indigenous LLMs Under IndiaAI Mission

Homegrown artificial intelligence startups Soket Labs and ZenteiQ AiTech Innovations have launched indigenous large language models under the government's IndiaAI Mission. Unveiled in New Delhi in the presence of IT Secretary S Krishnan, the models target domestic computing requirements. Soket Labs debuted EKA-1, an open hybrid 26.3 billion parameter model trained on 7.5 trillion tokens, supporting 22 scheduled Indian languages alongside English for reasoning, coding, and banking applications. Simultaneously, ZenteiQ launched its open-source Dhīr 2B and Dhīr 5B multilingual models, built to operate efficiently in low-connectivity environments across ten Indian regional languages.
