IIT Bombay-incubated space-tech startup InspeCity has secured Rs 100 crore ($10.5 million) in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Speciale Invest and marquee investor Ashish Kacholia. Antler Elevate, Antler India, Manish Gandhi, and Shastra VC also participated. Founded in 2022 by Arindrajit Chowdhury, InspeCity builds in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing technologies to tackle orbital debris and extend satellite lifespans. Its flagship architecture, Vehicle for Life-Extension and Deorbiting Activities, includes autonomous propulsion, AI tracking sensors, and robotic arms. The new capital will be used to achieve flight qualification and scale commercial in-orbit servicing operations globally.
