Kolkata-based spiritual tech platform Utsav has raised ₹36 crore ($3.8 million) in a Series A funding round led by Atomic Capital. Existing investors India Quotient and Equanimity Investments also participated in the round. Founded in 2021 by Sourajit Basu, Ankita De, and Prajata Samanta, Utsav connects devotees with temple priests to offer authenticated rituals and devotional services online. The startup claims to fulfill 250,000 orders monthly and plans to deploy the fresh capital toward product development, expanding its temple network, and serving the Indian diaspora over the next 12 to 24 months.
