Global asset manager State Street Investment Management has completed its strategic investment of ₹580 crore in Groww's mutual fund unit, Groww AMC, following regulatory approvals. The transaction grants State Street a 23% economic interest and 4.85% voting rights, valuing Groww AMC at roughly ₹2,500 crore. Groww parent Billionbrains Garage Ventures retains majority ownership. Under the deal, ₹381 crore went toward secondary share purchases and ₹198 crore was fresh capital. Groww AMC will leverage State Street's institutional expertise in exchange-traded funds, indexing, and portfolio construction while launching a GIFT City platform.
