D2C beauty brand Sugar Cosmetics has secured ₹144.5 crore from existing backer A91 Partners via Series CCPS allotment, according to regulatory filings. The fresh infusion values the startup between ₹550 crore and ₹755 crore, marking an estimated 75% to 80% decline from its peak ₹3,000 crore valuation in 2022. Alongside the primary capital raise, several early investors are reportedly looking to offload stakes worth up to ₹150 crore in secondary markets at steep discounts. The down round comes amid persistent pressure on the company's revenue growth and operating profitability.
