Tata Communications plans to invest between $400 million and $450 million (around ₹4,350 crore) to build 10,000 kilometres of AI-ready connectivity infrastructure across India. The project will connect major data centres and AI hubs to meet growing demand from hyperscalers, cloud providers, and global capability centres. The company aims to add 6 petabits per second of network capacity between FY30 and FY36, funded via operating cash flows. The initial phase will focus on the Mumbai-Pune-Hyderabad-Chennai corridor, linking domestic AI clusters to global subsea cable landing stations with high-speed, low-latency fibre networks.
