At TechSparks 2026 in Bengaluru, Karnataka's Minister for Greater Bengaluru Development, Krishna Byre Gowda, emphasized the role of technology in improving governance, enhancing transparency, and reducing corruption. Addressing entrepreneurs and deeptech founders, Gowda urged builders to direct their innovations beyond commercial software toward real socio-economic problems. He highlighted Bengaluru's crucial position in global capability centers and IT service exports. Separately, venture capitalists at the summit noted that Indian deeptech founders possess differentiated capabilities to build self-reliant technologies, advising startups to focus on niche domain problems rather than traditional product development methods.
