Telangana, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh have emerged as India's top three states for data-centre policy attractiveness, according to a new assessment by S&P Global. As technology enterprises rapidly scale domestic artificial intelligence infrastructure, these states are aggressively positioning themselves to capture capital investments by offering uninterrupted power, dedicated land parcels, and supportive industrial policies. India’s white-collar hiring rose 2% year-on-year in September, led primarily by artificial intelligence and machine-learning roles, alongside steady recruitment momentum across global capability centres, automotive tech, and business process outsourcing sectors.
