The Ayurveda Co Shuts Down Operations After Rapid Overexpansion

D2C personal care brand The Ayurveda Co (T.A.C) and sister label Khadi Essentials have shut down operations and entered liquidation, cofounder Param Bhargava announced. Both companies halted business in July 2025 after aggressive expansion and premature senior hiring overwhelmed the startup’s operational infrastructure. Founded in 2021 by Bhargava and Shreedha Singh, T.A.C sold ayurvedic skincare, haircare, and wellness products across online marketplaces and retail outlets. Bhargava noted that founders mortgaged personal assets and forewent salaries for over a year trying to salvage the business before formally initiating the winding-up process.
