Bengaluru-based specialty coffee chain Third Wave Coffee has raised Rs 408 crore ($43 million) in a funding round led by existing investor WestBridge Capital. The round, which primarily involved a primary issuance, also saw participation from existing investor Creaegis and angel investors. The fundraise reportedly values the company at around Rs 2,000 crore ($210 million). Founded in 2017 by Sushant Goel, Ayush Bathwal, and Anirudh Sharma, the chain plans to use the fresh capital to expand into nine new cities, deepen presence in tier-II and tier-III markets, and scale its Third Rush Desserts vertical.
