Indian spacetech startups TakeMe2Space, SatLeo Labs, and EON Space Labs have launched AI computing and Earth observation payloads into orbit aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 Transporter-18 rideshare mission from California. Hyderabad-based TakeMe2Space launched MOI-1A, a 14-kilogram satellite featuring 117 TOPS of onboard AI computing capacity and 2 TB storage to analyze imagery in orbit, reducing downlink data volumes by 1,000x. The mission also carried EON Space Labs’ MIRA multispectral imaging system and Ahmedabad-based SatLeo Labs’ TAPAS-1 thermal imaging payload aboard Dhruva Space’s LEAP-2 satellite to monitor land surface temperatures and patterns.
