UIDAI Launches Face Auth SDK and Sandbox to Ease Developer Integration

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) launched its Face Auth SDK and Sandbox at the Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai. The plug-and-play developer toolkit and testing environment allows businesses to easily integrate Aadhaar-based facial authentication into digital services without building the underlying software from scratch. First introduced in 2018 alongside fingerprint and iris recognition, face authentication can now be more easily deployed for digital verification, telecom onboarding, gig worker verification, and KYC workflows, aiding UIDAI's goal of paperless and frictionless identity verification across India's digital ecosystem.
