Edtech firm upGrad has completed its acquisition of rival Unacademy in a deal valued at $200 million, concluding a consolidation process that originated six years ago. Separately, insurtech platforms InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy have announced a merger to establish a unified pan-India insurance distribution powerhouse. The combined entity integrates InsuranceDekho’s established footprint across northern and western India with RenewBuy’s regional network in the south, yielding a combined annual premium book exceeding Rs 6,600 crore. In electric mobility, Bengaluru-based startup Magron is developing three electric motorcycles, targeting India’s emerging EV two-wheeler ecosystem.
