UPI Processes Record 25.47 Billion Transactions Worth Rs 31.53 Lakh Crore

India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) processed a record 25.47 billion transactions valued at Rs 31.53 lakh crore in October, according to National Payments Corporation of India data. Monthly volume grew 5.8% from 24.07 billion in September, while transaction value climbed 7.4% from Rs 29.37 lakh crore. Daily transactions averaged 822 million, with average daily value crossing Rs 1,01,707 crore. On a year-on-year basis, transaction volume expanded 23% and value grew 16%. In September, PhonePe led the ecosystem with a 45.6% volume share, followed by Google Pay at 32.2% and Paytm at 8.1%.
