Home services marketplace Urban Company will hold a board meeting on October 16 to evaluate proposals for raising fresh capital. The company may pursue a Qualified Institutional Placement, preferential allotment, or private placement, subject to regulatory clearances. Reports indicate the firm seeks to raise between Rs 2,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore via a QIP. The move follows intensifying competition from quick home services platforms like Snabbit, which raised $56 million, and Pronto, which secured $45 million. In Q1 FY27, Urban Company posted revenue of Rs 528 crore alongside a net loss of Rs 92 crore.
