Urban Company Sues Kent RO Over Disparaging Water Purifier Advertisements

Urban Company has filed a defamation and commercial disparagement lawsuit in the Delhi High Court against Kent RO Systems over advertisements targeting its Native water purifiers. The home services unicorn alleged that Kent ran an influencer campaign describing Native's two-year filter and service life claims as a marketing gimmick and deemed the purifiers unsafe for consumers. During an August 12 hearing, Kent agreed to withdraw the contentious promotional material and consented not to publish similar disparaging claims. The Delhi High Court directed Kent to pull down the advertisements across social channels within 15 days.
