Bengaluru-based biotechnology startup Venomics AI has secured $2.7 million (around ₹25.5 crore) in a pre-seed funding round co-led by Speciale Invest and South Park Commons, with participation from Operators Studio. Spun out of the Indian Institute of Science in 2026 by Kartik Sunagar and Vinay Prabhu, the startup leverages artificial intelligence, venom biology, and functional screening to identify drug candidates from animal venoms. Venomics AI will use the fresh capital to expand its Venom Atlas molecular dataset, strengthen screening capabilities, and recruit computational biologists and drug discovery experts.
