Chennai-based deeptech startup Viridian Ingni Propulsion raised Rs 1.47 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures. The IIT Madras Research Park-incubated firm also secured Rs 53.75 lakh in grants from SIPCOT, MeitY Startup Hub, NIDHI PRAYAS, and Cummins CSR. Founded in February 2024 by Sriram G, the pre-revenue venture develops electric propulsion systems, motors, and controllers for electric vehicles, drones, and robotics. It will use the capital for tooling, setting up a pilot production line, securing ARAI and ICAT certifications, and fulfilling customer letters of intent.
