AI-driven chemistry startup Warp Sciences has raised $215 million in a funding round led by Lightspeed. Premji Invest, Mayfield, IVP, Lux Capital, Conviction, Menlo Ventures, and angel investors including Brian Armstrong and Dylan Field also participated. Founded by former OpenAI executive Kevin Weil, Meta's Manohar Paluri, DJ Patil, and Solomon Reisberg, the US-based startup will operate as a chemistry contract research organisation. Warp Sciences combines robotic automation, AI models, and chemists to accelerate molecular testing and drug discovery programmes for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, generating real-world physical science experimental data at scale.
