Venture capital funding for Indian startups dropped sharply in the third week of October, totaling just $96 million across 15 deals compared to $180 million in the previous week. This marks the eighth instance this year where weekly funding fell below $100 million. The only substantial transaction was Even Healthcare’s $50 million funding round backed by Khosla Ventures and Alpha Wave. Other notable deals included menswear brand The Pant Project raising ₹109 crore ($11.4 million) and rural healthcare platform CureBay securing ₹100 crore ($10.4 million).
