Bootstrapped broking giant Zerodha reported a net profit of Rs 4,283 crore for FY26, marginally up by 1.2% from Rs 4,231 crore in FY25, while top-line revenue remained flat. Co-founder and CEO Nithin Kamath noted that falling transaction fees amid a cooling bull market were offset by its newly launched margin trading facility (MTF) business. Introduced in December 2024, MTF now contributes 10% of revenue with a Rs 9,000 crore book. Zerodha became India’s largest broker by assets under management, though active customer additions slowed down.
